Sardonios
April 26, 2010
Just when you thought that there was actually a place where you can unwind, be yourself and just be free, it suddenly turns into a pit filled with people who will physically and verbally restrain your every move. What’s worse is that once they think that the air of awkwardness is gone, they’ll resume laughing and all they’ll hear from you is sardonios.
| Okay, enough of the emotional rant.
) |
Honestly, I am considering myself to be someone who has been able to live a sedentary lifestyle all throughout the month of April.
) Aside from occasionally fixing things, reading a bunch of books and taking up some lessons, I don’t consider this summer to be as productive as the last one. I don’t want this to continue any further, so I’ll do my best in changing my lifestyle.
)
Speaking of summer, I’ve been utterly disappointed in myself (this summer) because I haven’t done anything that outweighed my laziness. I’ve been constantly reminded by my parents to finish the freaking dictionary in a month but I have not heeded the call to be smarter.
) I’ve also been told by my sisters to study in advance for college or to at least jog every morning but I haven’t.
) When we stayed at Marriott H. Manila, my eldest sister and I went to the gym frequently and since my body is used to just bumming around (READ: summer
) ), trying to burn the calories and fat wasn’t exactly a trip to the park. You might as well say that after every 30 minutes of running, my legs were as red as an apple(?). Nakakaawa ako.
) I guess it’s safe to say that I’d rather spend my time swimming or resting in the sauna/ steam room than go physically tire myself, but I’ll try to change that still.

That's me in a not-so-creative shot
) Better than actually feeling the sweat trickle down your body.
On another note, I’ve got something interesting to share!
) During our 5 (supposedly 6) day stay at Marriott Manila, my parents, my older siblings and I ate our breakfast at Resort Worlds’ Mercado and the one beside it, these restaurants and the place in which it is located, does not entertain guests below 21 but I guess I looked the part so I was allowed to go in. Haha. I don’t really know if I should be glad that I was thought of as an adult, but it was a pretty cool experience.
SARDINES.

I’m starting to be active online again! I’m still trying to find out if that’s a good thing.
<insertcricketsoundhere> ANYWAY.
Because I was trying to look at how I’ve progressed, I reviewed the past blog posts I made, and that’s where I got the title of this post from. The title came from my 3rd year (high school) final exam in Social studies, it was the bonus/ give away part. The link for that post is in my blogspot.If I remember correctly (I think I do), that was the most exciting test I’ve ever taken. SERIOUSLY, I mean, aside from the S.A.T.’s and the NCAE, which doesn’t really require much thinking… OKAY, maybe S.A.T.’s do. =))
I’ve been sort of busy lately (snorts) that I haven’t upated my posts yet, so here I am yet again, continuing my habitual rants and still hoping that I convey them “clearly”.
Yesterday, we came home from a stay in Oakwood Premier and I’ve got to say it’s one of the most accommodating and electronic savvy hotels/ apartments I’ve ever gone to. Yes, it doesn’t beat Crown Plaza or Shangri-La when it comes to the buffet but this is one of the hotels wherein you practically just laze around and do nothing (if you’re just there to enjoy yourself), the hotel and the staff’s got it all covered, plus everything’s mostly ving card operated so it’s safe and easy. Anyway, I won’t rant about it. What I will incoherently talk about, however is how my summer is faring.
So far, summer’s been pretty kind to me. I’ve learned how to commute to far places from Cavite with the help of Manang Yolly, I’ve been part of the underwater world, I’ve been sleeping pretty well, read books, continued with stories I left unfinished, watched some of the movies I’ve been aching to watch, managed to clean my room and do other semi-productive things. But I think all the things I’ve done “right” is over weighed by the things I’ve not been doing. Such things are:
1. Being super lazy
2. Not meeting with friends
3. And not doing what my mom (or my dad) tells me (i.e. finish the dictionary, read the encyclopedias and sleep early)
There’s still a month to go, so I suppose I should get moving. But before that, let me have this post to picture spam.

P.S. Sorry for the LQ-ness of some of the photos, believe it or not, we often forgot to charge/bring the cameras.
P.P.S. It was unfortunate that I didn’t get to have HQ shots of the concert we watched, upload other photos next time.
P.P.P.S. Have a great summer!

Learn to make one.
Learn to live life by making a lot of it.
Be prepared to make them.
For who knows how much happiness you will harvest afterwards?
All the pain will be worth it… I hope.

THE BOYS ARE GOING OUT!
Title fail.
It feels weird knowing that I put that title there.
Sorry.:))
Anyway! Today, I was supposed to go to Trina’s house with Choko, Hannah DJ, Anne E, Althea S and Jerry Lee R. Unfortunately, Trina had prior appointments more important than this much awaited event.
) You can imagine how depressed we all were when we we woke up at 6:45 am and read this news yesterday.
) As you had probably figured out, we didn’t meet today but we moved the date to Apr 25, 2010, which is tomorrow. Unfortunately, (I have not informed them yet), I have an outing with The Boys (Rani, Pau, Polex, Tammy and Bebeth among others) tomorrow as well and it’s been such a long time since we’ve hung out with each other, thus, I’m just going to the join the outing with the first batch when Trina’s free or when we’re complete.
)
You might be wondering what the point of this post is. Well, it’s NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. This post has no intelligible meaning.
) I just felt like updating since I’m pretty excited for the outing/meeting/fest with the boys.
)
‘Til the next not so random post!
